Check out the 2008 Band List!
The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived! If you haven't yet noticed, the 2008 GrassRoots Band List is posted. We're ecstatic about this year's lineup, which includes over 70 amazing bands from our area and around the world. Lucinda Williams, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Etran Finatawa.... I'm psyched, to say the least. Have a look for yourself and let us know what you think! Also, check out our snazzy new website - we think you'll find it easier to navigate and a little easier on the eyes. There'll be lots of new and fun information added frequently, so keep checking in for updates! And as always, be in touch if you have any questions of any kind - that's what we're here for!

So pumped to see Lucinda on the bill!!!!! I assume we can expect to see Jim Lauderdale sit in on her set given their past history? Am I jumping to an excitement-crazed conclusion to also hope that maybe Donna will sit in or vice versa? Can't wait to find out!! Also, love the new look of the web site.

I think I met you last year, Im one of Suse Thomas's "nieces" and will be working the festival again this coming grassroots.
I was wondering if there were any sort of junior journalist type internships that could be worked out between you and I, involving the actual festival/ music write ups and reviews, interviews, things along those lines.

Hi Grassroots!
My 9 year old daughter is very hopeful that she will be able to see Donna the Buffalo performing in an afternoon show in 2008! (Bedtime is too soon for all the evening performances!) Hope that's in the plans.
We can't wait for another festival!!
