Holiday Special Tickets on Sale Thanksgiving Day

A quick note to remind you all that our 2012 GrassRoots Festival holiday special tickets go on sale tomorrow at our website. For more information, head here.

We're really excited to have a brand spankin' new (though well-tested, we promise) ticketing system that we'll be using this year. It'll cut down on waiting times at the gates, keep our records in a safer and more accurate way, and otherwise make all of our lives easier, especially on opening day. It'll also save us substantial money on postage, which allows us to keep ticket prices the same this year (the third year in a row with no increases), as you'll be printing your tickets yourself.

I see tickets are the print at home kind. Sad tear cry. I want to keep adding to my box of cool ticket stubs which go back to Jethro Tull, Madison Square Garden, 1976.

So ...can I get a hard copy ticket through the mail or do I need to drive to anIthaca outlet to get one?

Thanks.

Offsite camping tickets prices are too high. $150 at the gate? Silly. The true spirit of Grassroots is above this sort of arbitrary price inflation/highway robbery. Please adjust offsite camping ticket prices accordingly. You know what's honest and true. Seems like 2 years ago it was just $50 at the gate.

There's a matter that's been bothering me for a few years now, over at the far end of the Grandstand Stage there used to be far more open room to move towards the back gate area ... about two years ago the fence was extended in front of the Grandstand and I find that not just inconvenient, which it most certainly is, but also potentially dangerous if something was to cause the crowd to panic and surge - I'm especially worried about Children or persons of short stature - say from a lightning strike or a storm of some kind hitting when the area was jammed ... it really causes there to be a choke point and I've been to enough "open events" both music and sports to know that this is not just some impossible occurrence. For the life of me I can't understand why they did this, but even without a Fight or a Lightning Strike... I've watched it get VERY choked at times just from normal traffic. This is a route taken to get to and from the Food court and the Sales Tents and so there already is traffic, but since it's still MONTHS from actually being used, I bring this point up now in the hope that somebody takes this seriously enough to do something about a potential danger to an otherwise enjoyable festival.
