Camping Goes on Sale on Valentine's Day

Happy mid-winter to you all! I hope you've been enjoying your Lunar New Year/Mardi Gras/Valentine's Day week. As dedicated GrassRootsers know, camping and early bird tickets always go on sale on Valentine's Day, and that's the case this year as well. Head on over to our camping page to see this year's info (nothing much new) and prices, and go ahead and make your order soon, because it'll sell out fast. Looking forward to summer!

More than a few loyal Grassroots patrons are quite upset at how much the price of vehicle camping has skyrocketed over the last few years. It's insane! We more than understand how the food prices and things like that have gone up slightly as costs go up combined with the Grassroots commitment to leaving a minimum footprint (which we love), but $155 for one tent and one vehicle?!?! Part of the appeal of this festival (apart from the music and atmosphere) has always been it's affordability and this price increase is starting to turn people away, because it's totally unreasonable. It's come to the point where people aren't going to Grassroots because it's too expensive, and that is a horrible shame.

It has to become less affordable for the average family. I hope the organizers realize that a lot of people who have been loyal festival goes can no longer afford to go. What a shame! We have always looked forward to the festival every year but it is now like everything only the rich can afford.

These prices are outrageous. We really want to go but the cost may not allow us to go this year. The number of people increases and so does the cost. Can it be made more affordable for everyone? We have to travel over 200 miles to get there.
